Sire Info: Sir Donnerhall

Dame Info: Lea

Sir Donnerhall's pedigree shows of some of the world’s all-time favourite performance stallions. These include stallions like Sandro Hit, Sandro Song, Donnerhall, Donnerwetter and Royal Z II. Sir Donnerhall is a consistent producer of top-quality offspring with pretty impressive achievements. He produced the champion stallion Sonnenreiter that was sold for €120 000, as well as Sir Rubinstain that was sold for €105 000. Silbermond, the North Rhine-Westphalian champion, was also sired by Sir Donnerhall, with one of his sons selling for €195 000 at the Hanoverian Auction. He also produced two premium Oldenburg stallions in 2006. The popularity of Sir Donnerhall’s offspring became evident when Schickeria was sold for €335 000 at the North Rhine-Westphalian Elite Auction, and Sankt Hulfer received the highest bid of €300 000 at the Vechta Auction. Sir Donnerhall’s first foal crop is having an incredible influence worldwide, with Sir Nymphenburg being the South German Champion Stallion.

Sir Donnerhall himself celebrated a superior victory in the five-year-old division at the National Young Horse Championships. In 2003 he was honoured with a 1st premium and won his 30-day test scoring in all three gaits with top marks between 9.0 and 10.0. The test riders awarded him with a 9.5 for rideability. In his 70 test he did even better and scored a dressage index of 163 points – a score never achieved by a stallion before. After winning the qualifier for the finals of the World Championships at the age of five with a score of 9.2, he came second overall. A masterpiece has been created with Sir Donnerhall by joining together the two exceptional producers Sandro Hit and Donnerhall out of the brilliant ring mare Contenance D. Sir Donnerhall is a unique specimen with no buts or ifs. He is exclusive in every aspect.

More Info

Lea, KNN 2080 bay leopard, graded purebred Knabstrupper mare measuring 168 cm, was sired by the well-known Rasmus af Hallundbaek KNN 119 with a measuring height of 163 cm (Rasmus af Damgard-KNN 067 out of Vibeke af Hallunbaek-8240048), out of Helle af Hojmark KNN 1408 with a measuring height of 162 cm (Gaucho-KNN 052 out of Jette af Hojmark 7301764). Rasmus af Hallundbaek did not only ace his own performance test but also showed a great breeding ability. Rasmus af Hallundbaek has forward moving, athletic and fluid paces with broad chest, a well-muscled neck with natural top line and good bone. With his fantastic Knabstrupper temperament he is competing in both dressage and jumping. He has been frequently ridden by a 12-year-old rider. He sired many licensed offspring throughout the world with more than 6 licensed breeding sons and half siblings to Lea: three of them in Denmark, two in Germany, one in France and one in Great Britain. Figaro af Hallundbaek is one of these offspring (superoir equine sire with a rideability of 10), also the gorgeous Aladdin, Boleo and Ravaldi (sire of many international competing horses and of Holmgards Bastian, winner of Best Stallion at the UK 2007 KNN Grading, and Lucas Nørmark as well as Amadeus Nørmark, KNN winner that needs no introduction either). Rasmus af Damgard is also the sire of Don Ibrahim that sired the well-known Xanthos. Xanthos is a dressage-breeding sire legend that produced champions like Xquisit, Xhogun, Zanko, Xavoy, Harlequin, Xaxon and Zenia, all bred by Middelsom Stud. Lea’s sire lineage can be traced back to 1683 to the stallion named Suberbe, as well as to the legend Hugin (Bent Banderup’s personal riding horse). Lea is not only from world-renowned lineage, but is also a great producer of many lincesed young stock, with one of them being Bianca, a first price winner at her grading.
